Primary ICTassessment is a suite of Microsoft Excel ® spreadsheets designed to allow Primary age pupils and their teachers to record and assess progress in ICT against QCA & NC criteria. It utilises the power of Excel ® to analyse the data and provides useful information to the pupil and teacher which will feed directly into teaching and learning.
Each pupil has their own assessment spreadsheet which uses a traffic light system to enable them to easily see what they have achieved and where they need further help. The date of assessment is recorded and suggestions for evidence are provided. The data produces four graphs indicating achievement, what has been taught and any extra help needed, current Level indication and the evidence in their portfolio. All four graphs can be printed on one A4 sheet as well as a full report. Each pupil can then use this information with their teacher to produce three targets using the automated target setter.
A whole class can be analysed using the ‘Class Analysis spreadsheet’ which can collect the data from up to forty pupil spreadsheets. The teacher can then compare the pupils with an average pupil in the same year group.
Setting up each pupil’s spreadsheet is made easy using the ‘Pupil Assessment Generator’. This spreadsheet uses information provided by the teacher or from a CSV file generated by the school's office, saving time over individually entering the user data in each spreadsheet.
